Exciting Events Lined Up for Paddling Enthusiasts in September

September is an exciting time for canoe and kayak enthusiasts as several events are scheduled to take place towards the end of the month. These events promise to bring the paddling community together for thrilling competitions and fun activities.

Saline River Canoe Race

The 2nd Annual Saline River Canoe Race is set to take place at Lyle Park on September 28. This event follows the successful return of canoe and kayak races to the Saline River in 2023, thanks to a partnership between Saline River Canoe and Benton Parks and Recreation. The upcoming race promises to be even more engaging for participants and spectators alike.

Northern Forest Canoe Trail Events

In addition to the Saline River Canoe Race, the Northern Forest Canoe Trail has several events lined up. The Adirondack Canoe Classic, known as the 90-Miler, is happening from September 6-8. Another notable event is the Long Lake Long Boat Regatta, scheduled for September 21. This event marks the closing of the Adirondack Race Series for the year.

Community Paddles and More

Other exciting activities include community paddles, boat raffles, and the online auction. These events not only promote paddling but also support the stewardship and programming of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail.
