Central High’s Valedictorians Look Toward Bright Futures in Medicine
Among the valedictorians is Emma Terrell, whose interest in medicine was sparked when she shadowed a doctor at Mercy Hospital. Terrell’s passion for helping others has led her to participate in several medical internships and volunteer programs, solidifying her resolve to pursue a career in pediatrics. Her dedication and passion have earned her the prestigious National Merit Scholarship, providing her with the financial support needed to pursue her dreams.
Another standout valedictorian is Ethan Taylor, whose extensive research on cardiac arrhythmias has earned him numerous awards at regional and national science fairs. Taylor’s projects have not only showcased his exceptional analytical skills but also underscored his commitment to advancing medical knowledge. He plans to pursue a degree in cardiology at the University of Arkansas, eventually applying his expertise to help find innovative solutions to cardiovascular diseases.
