Discover Frogs, Enjoy Jazz, and Prepare for Back to School This Week at the Saline County Library
This week at the Saline County Library is jam-packed with excitement, learning, and preparation for the new school year!
For those fascinated by amphibians, there’s an excellent opportunity to “Dive In Ocean Storytime” on Monday, where Ms. Amanda Ball will regale attendees with stories about ocean animals, accompanied by music and movement. This engaging program includes a craft session, ensuring a memorable experience for participants. Meanwhile, teens can indulge in longer Monday hangouts, playing games like Risk, Monopoly, or Ticket to Ride, dropping in or out as they please.
Creators can rejoice because Makerspace Open Hours are offered on both Monday and Saturday. At these sessions, attendees can utilize a wide range of materials and equipment, from 3-D printers to Silhouette machines, to work on their projects or simply explore and learn something new. Perfect for those fostering their creative side!
As the new school year is just around the corner, the library is also hosting a Back to School Bingo and Swap Night. This collaborative event allows participants to trade gently used school supplies and enjoy a fun-filled evening of bingo, all organized by Dana Bloch and Jordan Sandlin. More learning opportunities await at the Saturday Storytime, where a team of Youth Service librarians will lead stories and songs tailored to ages 3-5. And for those who enjoy role-playing, there’s a Dungeons and Dragons One-Shot adventure waiting to be explored!
Now is a great time to get engaged at the Saline County Library, whether your interests lie in ocean exploration, crafting, or simply socializing. With its diverse range of activities and events, there’s something for everyone in the community!
Mark your calendars and get ready for an exciting week ahead at the Saline County Library!
