Motorists planning to traverse the frontage road south of I-30 in Saline County must prepare for temporary closures this weekend. Beginning on Friday, the section between the Mountain View Cutoff and Highway 67/229 will be shut down to accommodate necessary roadwork and infrastructure improvement projects.
The closure is part of the ongoing effort to widen Interstate 30 to six lanes, enhancing travel and addressing growing traffic demands. Other sections of the frontage road have experienced closures in the past few months, including an overnight closure earlier this year due to bridge work.
