Arkansas Burger Enthusiasts Gear Up for Statewide Contest
Arkansas is getting ready to crown its best burger, and burger lovers across the state are encouraged to nominate their favorites. The Arkansas Beef Council has launched its inaugural Best Burger Contest to promote 100% beef burgers prepared in Arkansas restaurants.
The contest is open to anyone who uses 100% beef, and nominations can be submitted online once a day between September 1 and 30, 2024. The burgers must be regular menu items and remain available for the following calendar year.
- On September 1, nominations opened for the contest, which will see the top 10 finalists announced on October 11. The winner will be crowned by October 31, 2024.
Regional Representation
The state is divided into five regions, with two finalists selected from each region based on the number of nominations received. This ensures that regional favorites get a fair shot at the top title.
- Nominees will be judged on their 100% beef patties served on a bun or other bread products. The patties can include additional ingredients like spices and vegetables.
Burger Festivities
In addition to the competition, the Miracle League Burger Competition in Springdale will take place on September 21 at The Shiloh Square. This event promises to be a fun-filled day for burger enthusiasts.
- Other events lined up for the contest include the August 29 Contest Kick-Off Tailgate, which coincided with the Arkansas Razorbacks vs. UAPB Golden Lions game at War Memorial Stadium.
Get Ready to Vote
On October 11, the top 10 finalists will be announced, and the public can cast their votes for the best burger in Arkansas. This unique chance to influence the outcome is not to be missed.
- With the contest generating buzz across the state, local restaurants are gearing up to showcase their signature burgers.
