Saline County Museum Day is Sept 14th; Learn and Enter for Prizes

Saline County Museum Day: A Day of History, Community, and Prizes

On September 14th, Saline County will come together to celebrate its rich history and community with the annual Museum Day event. This year marks the fourth time the county’s museums have partnered together to host this exciting day, which promises to be an engaging and educational experience for visitors of all ages.

This year, the event will take place from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, featuring ten museums spread across Benton, Haskell, Bryant, Mablevale, Traskwood, and Bauxite. Each museum is packed with unique exhibits, artifacts, and stories waiting to be discovered. Visitors can explore the Arkansas Firefighter Museum and Fire Education Center, the Bauxite Museum, the Benton Athletic Memorial Museum, the Boone Family Farm, and numerous others, each with its own fascinating history

Learn From the Past, Enter to Win

Instead of simply touring the museums, participants can also enter to win prizes by visiting multiple museums on Museum Day. Each visitor will receive a Museum Day brochure that they can get marked at each museum they visit. The more museums they visit, the more entries they will earn. For visiting two to three museums, visitors can earn an entry for a small prize basket and a Walmart gift card. Four to six museum visits will qualify for a large prize basket and a Walmart gift card, while visiting all seven museums or more unlocks an entry for the grand prize: a DNA Ancestry Kit and a Walmart gift card. This makes exploring the museums not just an educational experience but also a fun and potentially rewarding one.

Join the Saline County community for a memorable day of history, discovery, and prizes on September 14th. Mark your calendars and get ready to explore the rich heritage of Saline County!
