City of Bryant Prepares to Unveil New Bryant Parkway
Bryant is gearing up to officially open the south end of Bryant Parkway, a project representing a significant investment in the city’s future. The grand opening ceremony is set to take place on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 9:00 AM, featuring a ribbon-cutting at the Crooked Creek bridge.
Attendees are invited to park at Alcoa 40 Park and then proceed to the bridge via the pedestrian trail. This milestone marks the culmination of years of cooperation between the City of Bryant, Saline County, Bryant Public Schools, and other local entities to create a vital north-south corridor. The new parkway aims to improve traffic flow, access to schools and businesses, and promote economic growth.
- Local authorities and stakeholders have praised the effort, emphasizing the project’s significance in “bringing the City of Bryant another opportunity for growth and connectivity within our great community.”
In recent years, the project moved past several crucial milestones, including the approval from Union Pacific for design, official clearance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the beginning of construction in July 2022. This collaboration has promised safer and more efficient travel for both residents and visitors.
