Overnight Ramp Closures Scheduled in Saline County
As part of the widening project for Interstate 30 (I-30) in Saline County, several overnight ramp closures are scheduled to facilitate the construction process. These closures will enable crews to perform necessary repairs and improvements, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the traffic flow in the area.
A key closure involves the I-30 westbound off- and on-ramps at South Street (Exit 116), which will be closed from 10 p.m. on Friday, June 7, through 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 8. During this time, signed detours will be in place to guide motorists around the closure. Emergency vehicles will also be accommodated to access the closed ramps if needed.
Additional closures are planned for July 25 and 26, focusing on the ramps at the Highway 67/229 and I-30 interchange. Specifically, the I-30 east ramp to Highway 67/229 (Exit 114) and the Highway 229 south ramp to I-30 west will be closed on July 25, while the I-30 west ramp to Highway 67/229 (Exit 114) and the Highway 67 north ramp to I-30 west will be closed on July 26. All closures will be conducted overnight and will include signed detours to reroute traffic.
The closures are part of the larger project (Job CA0601) under ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program. This endeavor aims to widen 5.5 miles of I-30 to three lanes in each direction from U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). It also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114), amounting to a 7.3 million investment. The project seeks to enhance traffic flow and ensure a smoother commuting experience for local residents and travelers alike.
