UAMS Hosts Virtual Workshop on Brain Injury Program August 15
Connecting Resources and Support for Traumatic Brain Injuries
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Institute for Digital Health and Innovation is set to host a virtual workshop focused on its Brain Injury Program. The event, scheduled for August 15, aims to connect anyone affected by traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) to helpful resources and support.
A Free and Open Public Event
The virtual workshop will be held from noon to 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Attendees can register by calling 501-526-7656 or by visiting a designated Eventbrite page to receive the Zoom link.
Resources for All Affected
The workshop will provide educational and professional resources for people living with a brain injury, as well as their family members, caregivers, and healthcare providers. The resources include information on free Arkansas resources, digital health clinics, a 24/7 Brain and Spine call center, and brain injury support groups.
Interactive Discussions and Expert Insights
In addition to the informational content, the workshop will feature interactive discussions and a keynote speaker, Tanya Phillips, M.Ed., MHSc, who will discuss the topic “Reinventing Yourself Healthy and Happy.”
