Bentonville Faces Growing Demand for Water and Sewer Infrastructure
In Bentonville, leaders are grappling with the increasing demand for water and sewer infrastructure as the city continues to expand. Specifically, a recent project approved by the city council involves the installation of a 14,000-foot, 48-inch water transmission line to alleviate head pressure and speed up the refill of storage tanks.
This comprehensive approach also includes a complete overhaul of the sewer collection system, designed to ensure that wastewater can efficiently reach the Bentonville Wastewater Treatment Plant. Commensurate with its growth, Bentonville has also strengthened its Cross Connection and Control Program, which focuses on preventing backflow into the water distribution system.
