Blackhawk Runners Compete in Take Flight
The Pea Ridge Blackhawk cross country team recently participated in the Take Flight event, a challenging contest that put their skills to the test. This event brought together high school and junior high students from the region, all vying for top spots in the 5K and 3.2K races.
The night run invitational in Rogers saw the Blackhawk harriers claim impressive positions. Among the top finishers from Pea Ridge were Jr. High Girls Bristol Walker, who secured 16th place, and Christian Ingram, who earned 23rd place. Sr. High Girls Emily Hendrix, Jadyn Womack, and Layla Buth also made their mark in the competition.
While specific times and scores for each athlete were not disclosed, the event showcased the team’s collective determination and dedication to their sport. As they continue to train and push themselves, the Blackhawk runners are sure to make their presence known in future competitions.
