McDonald County Route C Bridge Over Indian Creek Reopens Ahead of Schedule

The Route C bridge over Indian Creek east of Goodman in McDonald County has reopened to traffic significantly earlier than anticipated._FILENAME

This milestone was achieved when the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) announced the bridge’s reopening on Friday morning around 10 a.m. The bridge had been closed since May 13 for a rehabilitation project. Contractors replaced the bridge’s deck and driving surface, and new barrier walls were installed, along with permanent striping and object markers.

Originally expected to be completed by November 1, this nearly one-million-dollar project was finished more than two months ahead of schedule. Constructed in 1965, the bridge had faced increasing wear and tear over the years, with approximately 560 vehicles traversing it daily.

The Route C bridge’s reopening marks a significant relief for the community, and users can now access the bridge without any restrictions.
