Planning for Future Needs
Design for the Long Haul
In response to this growth, the department is conducting a needs analysis to determine its requirements for the future. This analysis is crucial to ensure the new facilities can accommodate the department’s needs for the next two decades. This planning phase aims to identify the required capacity and design to ensure the new facilities are efficient and suitable for the long run.
Current Challenges: Limited Space and Maintenance Issues
The Need for a New Building
The current building, which used to be a shopping center, lacks sufficient space and has numerous maintenance issues. This is causing problems for the department, and the search for a new building is underway. The department is looking for a modern, well-equipped space that can meet its needs as the city continues to expand.
Preparation for Future Growth
Hiring Support Staff
In addition to the physical infrastructure, the department plans to hire more support staff to help handle the increased workload. This strategic move will ensure the department remains efficient and responsive to the community’s needs, even as the city continues to grow.
