Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Seizure Leads to Arrest of Springdale Man with Extensive Criminal History

A Springdale man, Latrell Richmond, 28, has been taken into custody on suspicion of trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Richmond’s arrest was the result of an investigation initiated by tips about drug activity at a Springdale residence. Upon serving a search warrant, authorities found a substantial amount of drugs, including 2.7 pounds of methamphetamine and 3,136 pills suspected to contain fentanyl.

In addition to the drugs, a firearm and ,550 in cash were also seized during the search. This bust marks the latest in Richmond’s extensive criminal history, which includes convictions for burglary, theft, battery, and various drug and gun charges.

Richmond faces numerous charges, including two counts of drug trafficking, possession of a firearm as a felon, and tampering with physical evidence. He is currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a 0,000 bond and is set to be arraigned on July 15.

This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in Northwest Arkansas.
