The Wreaths Across America Organization Honors Fallen Detective
The Wreaths Across America organization recently made a stop in Bentonville to pay tribute to Detective Paul Newell, who tragically lost his life in a car accident while escorting their procession on December 17, 2022.
Detective Newell was a dedicated member of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and had served in various roles, including in the detention division, patrol, training, and investigation. He was known for his emphasis on sharing his training and experience, and his impact on the community will be deeply felt.
During the ceremony, the Sheriff’s Office added Detective Newell’s name to their deputy memorial. The event took place in front of the main entrance of the Sheriff’s Office and was attended by family, friends, and fellow law enforcement officials.
