After Halftime Scolding, Parkview Rips Through Maumelle
The Little Rock Parkview Patriots completely turned their game around in the second half after a frustrating first half. Coach Brad Bolding scolded the team at halftime, pointing out their poor play and emphasizing the need to play their brand of football. This clear message had the desired effect as the Patriots dominated the field after the break, scoring 42 points in just 10 offensive plays.
In the first half, Parkview struggled, only managing three field goals by Salomon Aguilar, leaving them with a narrow 9-0 lead. However, their mistakes were capitalized upon, and special teams issues plagued Maumelle. The second half saw significant improvements as the Patriots ran almost exclusively in Maumelle territory, with the lone exception being a play at their own 45-yard line. This radical shift in performance ultimately led to a convincing 51-6 victory.
