Arkansas National Guard Prepares for Minuteman Day
On Saturday, September 14, the Arkansas National Guard will host its annual Minuteman Day at Camp Joseph T. Robinson. This event is designed to engage the local community through various activities, showcasing the military’s operations and promoting camaraderie.
A Fun-Filled Day Awaits
The event promises an exciting array of activities for visitors. There will be high school and middle school cross country races, an open 5K race, and a packet pickup. Additionally, attendees can participate in the Army Combat Fitness Competition, watch the JROTC Color Guard and Drill Competition, and observe a Combatives Competition.
Exhibits, Entertainment, and More
Visitors can explore unit and equipment exhibits featuring the various military units and their career fields. The Health, Wellness, and Education Fair will offer opportunities to interact with experts, college and university representatives, and learn about benefits available to service members. For entertainment, there will be bouncy castles, baggo sections, and live music provided by the Army 106th Band, accompanied by a BBQ cookoff with food trucks offering a diverse range of cuisine.

Registration for schools participating in the cross country races is open on Mile Split, ensuring a competitive atmosphere. The National Guard Association of Arkansas is enthusiastic about hosting the community at Camp Robinson, making this Minuteman Day a memorable one.
