Conway County Care Center Prepares for Impactful Harvest of Hope Food Drive
As the holiday season approaches, the Conway County Care Center is gearing up for its annual Harvest of Hope Food Drive, a crucial initiative to support those struggling with food insecurity in the local community. This year, the drive takes on added significance as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect many lives.
Running from now through November, the food drive aims to collect essential food items that will stock the shelves of the Care Center’s food pantry. Community partners are urged to participate by collecting and donating nonperishable items, which can be dropped off at the Care Center on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Fridays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Switching gears from previous years, the Care Center has decided not to host the traditional “Fill the Truck” event to minimize exposure to illness. Instead, monetary donations are highly encouraged, as the center can purchase food at discounted rates from sources like the Arkansas Food Bank. Online donations can be made via credit or debit card, ensuring the efficient allocation of funds.
- Those interested in supporting the cause can also participate through volunteering or spreading the word about the importance of this initiative. For more information, the public can call the Care Center at 354-1454 or contact Leann Haynes at 208-3560.
- The impact of the Harvest of Hope Food Drive will be significant, as it seeks to provide temporary assistance to individuals and families dealing with financial crises and food insecurity.
Through the collective efforts of the community, the Conway County Care Center hopes to provide critical support during a challenging time of year, ensuring that those in need have access to the nourishment they require to thrive.
