Conway Prepares for Second Annual Citywide Crisis Drill

Conway Public Schools District recently conducted its second annual citywide crisis drill at Simon Middle School to enhance emergency response protocols prior to the new school year. The drill, organized by Director of Safety Eric King, involved extensive collaboration from school administrators, law enforcement, and emergency responders to ensure effective communication and coordination in crisis situations.

This comprehensive drill tested various crisis scenarios, bringing together key stakeholders to refine their emergency response strategies. Participants included Conway Police Department, Conway Fire Department, Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department, Pafford Emergency Medical Services, and Little Rock MedFlight. The drill’s success was attributed to the collective effort of the whole community and leadership from local first responder teams.

By holding this annual citywide crisis drill, Conway Public Schools District continues to prioritize the safety and well-being of its students and staff. This proactive approach ensures that the district and its emergency response partners are well-equipped to respond efficiently and effectively in the event of a crisis.
