Morrilton and Menifee Councils to Meet
Monday marks a significant day for the Morrilton City Council and the Menifee Town Council as they convene for their regular meetings.
In the Morrilton City Council, the atmosphere is expected to be tense following a heated meeting in January. During that meeting, concerns were raised about the city’s ability to pay outstanding bills from the general account, sparking a contentious dispute among officials.
Despite these tensions, the council is set to continue addressing the needs and aspirations of the diverse community, striving to build a better Morrilton.
Meanwhile, the Menifee Town Council has its own set of agendas to tackle. Regular meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, starting at 6:00 p.m. The council members include Mayor Bill Zimmerman, Councilmembers Bob Karwin, Ricky Estrada, Lesa Sobek, and Mayor Pro Tem Dean Deines.
During their previous meeting on May 1st, the Menifee City Council discussed several items, including an appeal for a Mr. Car Wash and Daycare project, which requires a conditional use permit and major plot plan.
As both councils meet, they will continue to work collaboratively to address the community’s needs and aspirations.
