Public invited to Arkansas PBS Family Days

Arkansas PBS Family Days: Fun and Education for All Ages

Arkansas PBS is hosting two free Family Day events, one in Conway and the other in Springdale, to bring families together for a day of fun, education, and community spirit.

On October 12, the event will be held at The Jones Center in Springdale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On October 19, the Central Arkansas PBS Family Day will take place at the Arkansas PBS headquarters, 350 S. Donaghey Ave., Conway, also from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

These events, themed “‘I’ is for Imagination,” feature a range of activities and entertainment for all ages.

Meet Your Favorite PBS KIDS Characters

  • Clifford the Big Red Dog
  • Curious George
  • Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat from “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood”

Families can meet and take photos with these beloved characters, and children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite PBS KIDS characters.

Additional Activities and Entertainment

The events will include a host of fun activities such as:

  • Live music and dance performances
  • Inflatable bounce houses
  • Story time and face painting
  • Interactive activities with community partners like the Scott Family Amazeum and the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks
  • Popcorn, fresh fruit, and other snacks

Supporting the Local Community

Arkansas PBS is partnering with local foodbanks to gather donations of after-school and weekend snacks for families struggling with food insecurity.

Environmental Focus

The events are presented as environmentally friendly, promoting sustainability and conservation in partnership with Keep Arkansas Beautiful.
