Conway Rape Suspect Arrested Following High-Speed Chase with State Troopers
On Wednesday evening, Dan Joyce, a 38-year-old Conway resident, was arrested following a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 40.
Law enforcement officials from Conway sought assistance from the Arkansas State Police around 8:47 p.m. to aid in the chase, which at times reached speeds of 120 mph.
The silver 2021 GMC Sierra, driven by Joyce, was initially spotted traveling eastbound on I-40 near the 132-mile marker. When he took exit 142, officers performed a tactical vehicle intervention, also known as a PIT maneuver, stopping the vehicle just west of the ramp.
Joyce was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Faulkner County Detention Center. He now faces charges of felony rape and fleeing.
