Kennedy Holland’s Journey to Miss Arkansas

Kennedy Holland, a Greenwood native and Miss University of Central Arkansas, has made significant strides in the 2024 Miss Arkansas competition. This marks her first time competing for the Miss Arkansas title, following her impressive performance in the Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen Competition last year, where she was the first runner-up and overall talent winner.

At the latest preliminary competition, Holland took home the Preliminary Evening Gown Award. Her talent for the event will be a rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” Additionally, she promotes “Compassion Legacy,” an initiative focused on building all-abilities playgrounds for children.

Holland is currently a student at Ouachita Baptist University, where she is pursuing a dual major in Strategic Communication and Spanish. Her university studies have prepared her well for this competition, demonstrating a strong connection between her academic pursuits and her commitment to impactful endeavors in her community.

As the events continue, expectations are high for Holland, who is among the 45 contestants vying for the 2024 Miss Arkansas title. The finals for the competition will take place on Saturday evening. The winner will not only receive the prestigious title but also a significant scholarship to further their education and career goals.
