Vigil Scheduled for Second Anniversary of Chelsea Woods Disappearance
A candlelight vigil is planned in Clinton to mark the two-year anniversary of Chelsea Woods’ disappearance. Chelsea, 38, went missing on August 28, 2022, after calling 911 due to concerns about individuals at her residence. Law enforcement located her briefly, but as she requested to speak with a specific officer who was unavailable, she disappeared deeper into the woods.
The community has been actively engaged in the search efforts. Pastor Rocky Thomas of Botkinburg Foursquare Church highlighted the unity seen in the community during those days, with hundreds of people coming together to search for Chelsea. Thomas noted that the church served as a hub for these efforts.
Chelsea’s family, although residing out of state, has been involved and has conveyed messages of love and longing to the local community. They, along with the community, remain hopeful for forthcoming answers about Chelsea’s fate.
