Arkansas Commission Moves Forward with Decertification Hearing
The Arkansas commission has decided to proceed with a decertification hearing for a former Prairie Grove police officer.
On September 9, the police chief of Prairie Grove recommended the decertification of the officer, citing misconduct including dishonesty and excessive time spent away from duty. This recommendation was in response to a report highlighting the officer’s behavior during their tenure.
The commission, which is responsible for overseeing law enforcement standards and certification, has scheduled sessions to review the matter at the Arkansas State Police headquarters in Little Rock. The upcoming sessions are set for September 12 and 13.
