Centennial Park Trails to Close for Junior High Cross Country Meet
On Saturday, September 14, two trails at Fayetteville’s Centennial Park will be closed to the public from 6 a.m. to noon. This temporary closure is to facilitate the hosting of the Fayetteville Junior High Invitational, a cross country meet for seventh and eighth grade boys and girls.
The two affected trails, World Cup and Chasing Gold, will be restricted to meet participants. General park users are advised to park in the north parking lot to access the soft-surface trail system or in the southwest via the Fayetteville Traverse.
Event Details
The event, hosted by Woodland and Ramay junior high schools, is expected to feature 600 runners from across the region. Despite the trail closures, park users can still access other facilities by using alternative parking and trail routes.efaile
