Fayetteville Man Arraigned on Attempted Murder Charge in Shooting Incident
Jamarii Devion Crawford, an 18-year-old from Fayetteville, faced serious charges after allegedly being involved in a shooting incident. The charges included accomplice to attempted murder, accomplice to committing a terroristic act, and accomplice to unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle. This follows a series of events that began earlier in the month when a vehicle on College Avenue was fired upon.
Crawford was arrested in connection with the crime. According to authorities, he and some accomplices fired shots at an occupied vehicle. The police investigation revealed shell casings in the outbound lanes of College Avenue. The targeted vehicle was found with multiple bullet holes and the rear passenger window shattered. The incident reportedly occurred after the victims left a nightclub on Dickson Street.
The details of the arrest revealed that Crawford, along with other men, got into a car and began following the victims. Once the vehicles were side by side, shots were fired. Crawford was subsequently arrested and is being held at the Washington County Detention Center with a million bond. His arraignment is set for August.
