Fayetteville Animal Services Hosts ‘Clear the Shelter’ Event
Fayetteville Animal Services is gearing up for the ninth annual “Clear the Shelter” nationwide pet-adoption drive, set to take place throughout the month of August.
This national initiative aims to find forever homes for homeless pets and has seen remarkable success, with a record-breaking 161,000 adoptions in the previous year and over 860,000 adoptions since its inception in 2015.
During the event, adoption fees will be waived to encourage the community to help empty the shelter’s kennels. The shelter is home to numerous dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens, all of which will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before being adopted.
Animal Services Superintendent Justine Lentz expressed the shelter’s excitement to be a part of this event, emphasizing the importance of making the adoption process as easy as possible. Potential adopters can fill out applications online, which can be easily accessed on both phones and desktops.
The “Clear the Shelter” event marks a crucial step in addressing animal welfare issues and promoting the importance of spay/neuter, all while putting these loving pets into new homes.
Fayetteville Animal Services is located at 1640 S. Armstrong Ave., and interested individuals can view available pets and learn more about the adoption process.
