Fayetteville Animal Shelter Offers Free Adoptions in August

Fayetteville animal shelter is once again offering free pet adoptions in August as part of the annual Clear the Shelters event. This initiative aims to help families find and adopt homeless pets, which is especially critical during the summer when shelters often reach capacity.

The animal shelter will waive adoption fees for all adoptable pets during this event, making it an ideal opportunity for families to provide a loving home to these deserving animals. The shelter encourages interested individuals to first fill out an application form online, which can be approved in as little as 30 minutes to 24 hours. Once the application is approved, adopters can visit the shelter to meet available pets that have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

By choosing to adopt, families not only give a deserving pet a loving home but also help to free up space and resources for incoming pets. Since 2014, Clear the Shelters has helped more than half a million pets find their forever homes. This annual event provides a chance for the community to come together and support the important work of the Fayetteville animal shelter.

The Fayetteville animal shelter, located at 1640 S. Armstrong Avenue, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. For more information on the adoption process and available pets, visit the City of Fayetteville’s website.

The Clear the Shelters event demonstrates the commitment of Fayetteville Animal Services to finding forever homes for local animals in need. This year’s event further underscores the importance of community support and collaboration in ensuring the well-being of both animals and the people who care for them.
