New Chapter in Fayetteville’s Utility Payment System
On July 22, 2024, the City of Fayetteville will introduce Utility Access, a novel online payment platform designed to provide a more user-friendly experience for its utility customers. This new system will replace the existing eUtility service, offering enhanced features and capabilities to streamline utility bill payments.
Utility Access offers a mobile-friendly design, enabling users to make online payments using credit, debit, or e-check methods. In addition, it allows for setting up auto-pay options, signing up for email reminders, and viewing consumption and account information. This modernized platform also supports managing multiple utility accounts with a single login and enrolling in paperless billing.
Transition from eUtility
For those who currently use eUtility to make online payments, it is essential to note that scheduled payments and payment information will not be transferred to Utility Access. This means that users must register for a new account on Utility Access and set up their payment information or recurring payments manually.
Alternative Payment Methods
Customers who prefer manual payment methods may continue using drop-boxes outside City Hall, mailing payments, or paying by phone. Requests for new water and sewer services can be made by phone or by email. Existing automatic bank drafts (ACH) are not affected by this change.
Utility Access Features
- Make one-time online payments without creating an account
- Set up auto-pay for recurring payments
- View and download past utility bills
- Manage multiple utility accounts with one login
- Enroll in paperless billing
- Sign up for email reminders
- View consumption and account information
New Service Requests
To establish new water or sewer services, customers must apply by phone or email, providing a valid picture ID and a copy of their signed lease agreement/utility sheet (if applicable). A minimum deposit is required, and upon receipt of the application and deposit, City personnel will establish the new service and send email confirmation.
Fayetteville’s Commitment to Convenience
With the introduction of Utility Access, Fayetteville demonstrates its dedication to enhancing its residents’ experience. This modernization effort aims to make utility payments and services more accessible and efficient for everyone involved.
