Sarah Huckabee Sanders Praises Northwest Arkansas’s Success
Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders recently addressed the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s annual 40 under 40 class, expressing her admiration for the region’s successful approach to growth and development. Speaking on her 42nd birthday, she highlighted the key factors behind Northwest Arkansas’s prosperity.
Sanders credited the investments made by Fortune 500 companies and their family-founders, as well as the ability of NWA cities to work together as a region rather than competing against each other. This regional cooperation, she believes, gives NWA great strength and capacity to build and grow. Her hope is that other parts of the state can emulate this model.
When asked about her future plans, Sanders hinted at focusing on higher education to prepare the workforce for tomorrow. She noted that her previous efforts had concentrated on pre-K through 12th grade education, citing the passage of the LEARNS education act. However, news broke simultaneously that a judge would allow a lawsuit to proceed, challenging the constitutionality of certain parts of the LEARNS Act.
Sanders’ words carrying weight, as she continues to implement her conservative reforms and navigate the complexities of governance, while inspiring her audience to build on NWA’s success.
