KUAF to Host Mayoral Candidate Forums in October
Local NPR affiliate KUAF 91.3 FM is set to host three mayoral candidate forums across northwest Arkansas this October. The events, moderated by Ozarks at Large host Matthew Moore, will provide voters with direct insights into the candidates’ platforms, policies, and positions on various topics.
These free and open-to-the-public forums aim to address the historically low voter turnout and registration levels in local elections. Organized in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of Arkansas, the event encourages attendees to submit questions in advance via the KUAF website and social media.
The scheduled forums include:
- Bentonville forum: Tuesday, October 15, at the Thaden School, beginning at 7 p.m.
- Fayetteville forum: Tuesday, October 22, at the David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History, beginning at 7 p.m.
- Rogers forum: Details still being finalized for later in the month
Each event will be recorded and broadcast on Ozarks at Large the following day. Additionally, the League of Women Voters of Arkansas will be on-site to offer voter registration information and election materials. The last day to register to vote is Monday, October 7.
