McMillon Innovation Studio to Expand and Accommodate Rising Number of Students

The McMillon Innovation Studio, a hub of creativity and entrepreneurship for students across the University of Arkansas campus, is undergoing significant expansion to support its growing population.

As a testament to its impact, the studio is doubling its existing space to better accommodate the increasing number of students and program offerings. The expansion will enhance its ability to support student projects, curriculum integrations, and provide more room for collaboration and experiential learning.

Currently located on the sixth level of the Harmon Avenue Parking Garage, the studio is moving to occupy an additional level, boosting its square footage to approximately 2,500 square feet. This additional space will significantly improve its capacity to host innovative projects and support the burgeoning Master of Science in Product Innovation program, which has recently doubled its student enrollment.

The expansion is part of the studio’s ongoing evolution and reflects its significant influence within the university. Launched in 2016, the McMillon Innovation Studio has grown to become a cornerstone of the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, attracting students from all majors who are eager to develop their creative skills and make real-world impact.

This growth underscores the importance of the studio and its mission to cultivate future leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators by connecting them to opportunities, valuable mentorship, and resources. The expansion signifies a new chapter in the studio’s journey to empower students to deliver impactful innovation through organizational, social, and entrepreneurial change.
