Mount Sequoyah Unveils Free Fall Concert Series
The scenic Mount Sequoyah in Fayetteville has announced an exciting lineup of free fall concerts, starting September 6 and running until October 26. This concert series, titled Music on the Mountain, is made possible through the support of an Arkansas Heritage Grant. The events promise to showcase a variety of Arkansas musicians playing Ozark and Americana roots music, ensuring a delightful musical experience for the community.
The series kicks off with Meadow Makers on September 6 at Vesper Point, followed by Amos Cochran on October 4 at Millar Lodge, and concluding with Adorners on October 26 at Clapp Auditorium. These concerts not only feature talented headliners but also provide a platform for emerging local artists to open for each show. To further enhance the experience, attendees can enjoy light snacks and a donation bar to support Mount Sequoyah’s community programs.
Beyond the concert series, Mount Sequoyah also hosts other events, including the free Sequoyah Ukulele Society meetups, which welcome players of all skill levels. These meetups take place on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month at Sequoyah Hall, fostering a sense of community among local music enthusiasts. Additionally, the center collaborates with organizations like The Equality Crew to host inclusive events like Rainbow Families, catering to LGBTQIA+ youth and their families.
