Northwest Arkansas Musicians Shining at Arkansas Country Music Awards
A wealth of talented artists from Northwest Arkansas has made its mark at the 2024 Arkansas Country Music Awards. This year, the seventh annual awards ceremony celebrated the best of country music and its various genres, honoring a range of artists and professionals with strong ties to Arkansas.
Gathering at the Reynolds Performance Hall in Conway, the event featured performances from an array of notable artists and recognized achievements in twenty-seven different categories. The winners included Entertainer of the Year, Tyler Kinch; Female Vocalist of the Year, Marybeth Byrd; and Vocal Duo/Group of the Year, Midnight South. Other notable awards went to artists like Sylamore Special for Bluegrass Artist of the Year and Inspirational Artist of the Year, and Big Shane Thornton for Music Collaboration of the Year with his song “Just the Same.”
Notably, Erin Enderlin, a Conway native, won the prestigious Songwriter of the Year award for the seventh consecutive year in a row, adding to her incredibly successful streak in the category. The honorees also included three recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award, namely K.T. Oslin, Randy Goodrum, and Wood Newton, whose legacies were celebrated through special performances by notable artists.
