Environment and History
The lake itself spans 389 acres of water and is part of a larger 1,400-acre property. Originally constructed as a water supply reservoir, Lake Sequoyah stopped serving this purpose in the 1960s as the primary water source shifted to the Beaver Water District. Since then, it has evolved into a popular recreation spot.
