Crash Slows Traffic on I-49 in Washington County
A crash on I-49 Southbound in Washington County significantly impacted traffic on Monday, June 10. The accident, involving a semi-truck, affected the right southbound lane, causing congestion on the highway.
The crash is only the latest in a series of incidents to affect I-49 in recent months. In early June, emergency vehicles blocked parts of the interstate after another crash, causing disruptions to normal traffic flow.
Moving further back in time, in May, ARDOT reported four separate crashes on I-49 near West Fork, each involving multiple vehicles. These incidents also significantly slowed down traffic on the highway. In January, a traffic accident near mile marker 79, Exit 81, restricted southbound traffic to a single lane.
