University of Arizona Promotes Active Transportation
Censing the traffic congestion plaguing its large campus area, the University of Arizona is actively working to reduce car trips and promote green transportation methods. As a significant employer in southern Arizona, the university participates in the Pima Association of Governments’ Travel Reduction Program, encouraging its 35,000 students and over 16,000 employees to adopt environmentally friendly travel options.
