Welcoming Week NWA Celebrates a Decade of Building Belonging
Welcoming Week NWA marks its 10th anniversary this September with a renewed commitment to fostering belonging across Northwest Arkansas. Starting September 1, the event series aims to deepen community connections, reaffirm dedication to inclusivity, and highlight the importance of an economy that benefits everyone.
Organized by EngageNWA at the Northwest Arkansas Council, Welcoming Week NWA is a collaborative effort with dozens of partners. The month-long celebrations include a range of family-friendly events, such as speaker panels, volunteer opportunities, and vibrant cultural festivals.
The official Launch and Community Celebration takes place on Friday, September 13, at Springdale High School. The event features the talents and perspectives of local students and community partners. Other highlights include the Marshallese Cultural Training on September 4, which offers a chance to learn about Marshallese culture, history, and the experiences of the Marshallese community in Northwest Arkansas.
