Blue & You Foundation Supports Pediatric Health Programs with .95 Million in Grants
The Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas has demonstrated its commitment to improving health outcomes by awarding significant grants to programs focused on pediatric health, behavioral health, and maternal care.
The Foundation has awarded a substantial amount of .95 million to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to support K-12 behavioral health programs. This funding includes .2 million over three years for the Arkansas Trauma Resource Initiative for Schools (TRIS) and 0,000 over two years for ARConnect, a free service providing urgent behavioral health care to Arkansans.
These grants are crucial in addressing the unique needs of Arkansas’ population, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding for TRIS aims to create trauma-informed schools, providing necessary support to students, staff, and families. Similarly, ARConnect seeks to increase access to mental health resources, especially for those experiencing additional stress due to the pandemic.
The Blue & You Foundation has a long history of promoting better health in Arkansas. Since its establishment in 2001, the Foundation has awarded over million in grants to various health-improvement programs across the state.
The Foundation’s initiatives encompass a broad range of issues, including maternal and pediatric health, behavioral health, and social determinants of health. Their ongoing efforts reflect a dedication to fostering community health leadership, fostering collaborations, and leveraging resources to create a positive impact on the health and well-being of Arkansans.
