Blue & You Foundation Awards Millions for Maternal and Pediatric Health

The Blue & You Foundation recently announced the award of .3 million in grants to various organizations across Arkansas, aimed at improving the well-being of communities throughout the state. This significant investment supports initiatives focused on maternal and pediatric health, behavioral health, and social determinants of health.

Of the 32 grants awarded, several notable recipients include the Arkansas Birthing Project, which will replicate the Birthing Project Sister Friend support model across rural counties to improve pregnancy outcomes for Black women. The American Academy of Pediatrics Foundation – Arkansas Chapter received funding to empower pediatricians in addressing substance use disorders, reaching up to 50,000 Arkansas youth.

  • Other grantees include Arkansas Children’s Foundation, which will provide support services to teen mothers and their children, and ASU Mid-South Community College, which will enhance health and educational outcomes for postpartum mothers and their children in Crittenden County.
  • Hispanic Community Services, Inc. received funding to expand its La Cuña program, addressing social, cultural, and linguistic barriers to equitable prenatal and mental health care for Latina mothers.

The foundation’s commitment to health initiatives extends beyond these specific grants. The Blue & You Foundation has awarded over million in grants since its establishment 22 years ago.
