Crews Responding to House Fire Near McAlmont Community
Wednesday morning saw an intense emergency response in the McAlmont community in northwest Pulaski County as crews rushed to a house fire. The incident unfolded in the morning hours, prompting a swift response from local authorities.
Support from the North Little Rock Fire Department was called in to back up the McAlmont Volunteer Fire Department. Captain Gary Williams from the North Little Rock Fire Department confirmed that his firefighters were on-site to assist with the situation.
Footage captured by Arkansas Storm Team meteorologist Pat Walker provided a graphic glimpse into the severity of the blaze. The video showed flames engulfing the residence in a wooded neighborhood, accompanied by thick black smoke billowing into the air. Additionally, the fire was marked by distinctive popping sounds, though the source of these noises is still unclear. Authorities suspect that ammunition might have been present in the house, leading to these unusual sounds.
Despite the emergency response, details regarding potential injuries or the overall impact of the fire remain scarce. The situation is still unfolding, and further updates are awaited as the investigation progresses.
