DFA Reduces Credit Card Fees for Revenue Office Transactions
The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) has announced a significant reduction in credit card fees for all revenue office transactions. Effective immediately, the fees have been lowered from 2.75% with a minimum charge to 1.6% with no minimum charge. This change aims to make financial transactions more accessible and cost-effective for citizens.
This reduction is expected to have a substantial impact on Arkansans, saving them approximately .4 million annually. With this change, individuals will save more money when making payments at State Revenue Offices.
In addition to the fee reduction, the DFA is also modernizing its payment systems. The department plans to replace existing, outdated payment terminals in Revenue Offices with more than 800 new devices. This upgrade will enhance the overall payment experience for users.
