Diamond Bear’s NLR Property for Sale in Arkansas
The property housing Diamond Bear Brewing Company in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is up for sale due to the owner’s impending retirement. Located at 600 N. Broadway St., the facility spans 15,435 square feet on a 3-acre lot. This sale could lead to various outcomes for the brewery and the associated restaurant, Ol’ Bart Southern Eats.
The property’s sale does not necessarily mean the brewery will close. Owner Russ Melton envisions four possible scenarios. One option is for the new owner to allow Diamond Bear to lease the property. Alternatively, the brewery might stay for a few months before relocating or the new owner might also purchase the brewery. The board could also decide to sell the equipment and liquidate.
Diamond Bear was instrumental in launching Arkansas’ craft brewing scene, having opened in 2000. The brewery won several awards for its beer, particularly its Pale Ale. It moved to its current location in 2014 and, in 2023, partnered with restaurateur Bart Likes to transform the taproom into Ol’ Bart Southern Eats. The area has seen significant residential and commercial development in recent years.
The auction, set for October 25, is handled by Blackmon Auctions and Thomas Blackmon Realty. The property is in a reduced tax opportunity zone and has great potential for growth. The area’s development and the potential for a transferrable lease make it an attractive asset for investors and restaurateurs.
In addition to the brewery and restaurant, the property also includes a large storage area, loading dock, several offices, and living quarters. The sale represents a significant opportunity for someone to own a valuable asset in a rapidly growing area.
