2024 Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrations Around Central Arkansas
Tributes to rich cultural diversities will grace the calendar this September as Central Arkansas comes alive to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. From immersive film experiences to vibrant festivals, delicious food, and lively performances, the community is invited to explore and honor the many faces of Hispanic culture.
The 2024 Hispanic Heritage Festival will take center stage on Saturday, September 21, bringing together a tapestry of cultural booths, artisanal crafts, and mouthwatering cuisine at Memorial Park in Siloam Springs. Visitors can indulge in shopping and savor dishes that tantalize the taste buds. The Chautauqua Amphitheater provides a dynamic backdrop for live performances that embody the essence of Latin American culture.
Meanwhile, in Little Rock, a series of events is planned to mark this significant month. Hispanic Heritage Festival celebrations will be held at Plaza Frida, featuring live music and dancing. Additionally, the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) is organizing various activities, including a Pinata Making workshop and a Hispanic Heritage Month Movie Showing event that promises to engage all ages in this cultural experience.
In other locations, National Park College will host a Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration, while Folklore, Musica & Comida will take place at Terry Library. Hot Springs will join in the festivities with Fiesta en SoMa, an event that brings the heart of Little Rock’s SoMa neighborhood alive.
