Little Rock Area Beats Employment Records, Sees Economic Growth
The Little Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) has yet again reached new heights in employment rates. In June 2024, the region observed 370,420 employed individuals, marking a notable 3.6% increase from the previous year. This milestone solidifies the area’s steady economic growth.
Several key projects have contributed to the region’s success, with notable investments from companies such as Dassault Falcon Jet, Elopak, Trex, and Westrock Coffee. Westrock Coffee’s significant investment led to the creation of nearly 1,000 jobs in Central Arkansas, while Elopak’s facility expansion will generate over 150 new jobs.
Looking ahead, the Little Rock Regional Chamber is actively working on developing a “shovel-ready” supersite to attract significant economic projects. Additionally, the City of Little Rock has allocated million for the Phase 2 development of the Little Rock Technology Park, a hub for innovation and technological progress.
As the economy continues to thrive, it is evident that the Little Rock area is poised for a bright future.
