Little Rock Man Faces Charges in Fatal Crash

On February 8, a significant development emerged in a local court case when 47-year-old Chandria Stigall of Little Rock was arraigned on two counts of negligent homicide with a vehicle while intoxicated. This followed a fatal crash that occurred on January 16, 2023.

Details of the Crash

The crash, which happened in the 9400 block of Stagecoach Road, involved a vehicle driven by Stigall and a motorcycle operated by 34-year-old Mark Hudson. Mark Hudson was taken from the scene with life-threatening injuries and sadly passed away days later. A passenger on the motorcycle, 22-year-old Haven Hughes, who was a reporter for KARK 4 News and FOX 16 News, tragically died at the scene.

Evidence and Charges

An affidavit from Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) investigators revealed that they obtained a urine sample from Stigall immediately following the crash. The analysis of the sample from the Arkansas State Crime Lab returned positive for multiple illegal substances, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana. Stigall pleaded not guilty to both counts and was granted a bond of 0,000, with her next court appearance scheduled for April 5.

Proceedings and Update

Court records show the significant progress in the case, leading to Stigall being formally charged and pledging her innocence. The community remains affected by the loss of two lives, including a prominent journalist.
