Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority Appoints New CEO

Effective August 14, 2023, Jean Block has taken the reins as the new CEO of the Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority (LRWRA), succeeding Greg Ramon after his nine-year tenure. Prior to her appointment, Block served as the utility’s Chief Legal Officer and oversees the Human Resources and Environmental Affairs Departments, bringing extensive experience to her new role.

With 221 employees and responsibility for 1,400 miles of sewer pipeline and three state-of-the-art water reclamation facilities, LRWRA is the largest wastewater utility in Arkansas. Under Block’s leadership, the utility is poised to continue its mission of protecting public health and the environment while driving innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.

Block’s strategic vision and exceptional leadership skills have earned her the confidence of the Commission, making her the first woman to serve as CEO.
