Arrest in Labette Manor Deadly Shooting
Little Rock Police Department officials have announced the arrest of a suspect tied to a late July shooting in the Labette Manor area.
In connection with the incident, 26-year-old Dalan Patterson was taken into custody on Tuesday. The shooting led to the fatal wounds of 23-year-old Elijah Tolbert.
The investigation unfolded on July 25 when officers responded to a call at 3:37 p.m. in the 2100 block of Labette Manor Drive. Upon arrival, they found Tolbert with apparent gunshot wounds. Following medical treatment, Tolbert ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The arrest marks significant progress in addressing the city’s crime concerns, as part of a broader strategy to reduce crime rates. With violent crime down 8% overall, authorities are optimistic about their holistic approach to community policing.
Charges and Next Steps
Dalan Patterson is currently facing a charge of capital murder. He is scheduled to appear in court in October for further proceedings.
