Triple-Shooting Near Fletcher Park Leaves Two Teens Injured
Little Rock police responded to a triple-shooting incident near Fletcher Park on Friday, where two teenagers were among the three people injured. The shooting took place in the early evening, with officers receiving reports of multiple victims around 6:01 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered one person with gunshot wounds and were informed that two other victims had been taken to a nearby hospital. Witnesses described the suspects as three males, one of whom was heavyset, who initiated the shooting from the corner of South Woodrow and Mayland Avenue.
Shell casings were found in the area, and further evidence of gunfire damage was discovered on a vehicle that had been driving nearby. The front bumper, a front tire, and the rear driver’s side door of the vehicle were all struck by gunfire, indicating the extent of the violence.
The ongoing investigation is being led by the Little Rock Police Department, but so far, the suspects remain at large. The incident marks yet another act of violence in the city, joining a series of recent shootings that have raised concerns about public safety.
